I was born in a very small town in South Texas about an hour from the border with Mexico.  My family moved around quite a bit growing up and my time was spent playing sports and daydreaming (a bit too much at times).  Both of which are still a part of my life.

In college I studied History and Photography.  An odd combination to be sure.  I think the thing that drew me to the two disiplines was the stories.  History and Photography are both about telling stories.  One of the past and one of the present that will be the past.  That’s what I love about photographing weddings.  I’m capturing that moment in history so that couples and their children and their children’s children can have that record.

I’ve been making photographs for around a decade now.  First, just for fun and with very little skill.  For the past 5 years photography has been my main focus and profession.  Most of that time has been spent covering weddings, although I’ve also photographed for magazines, large corporations, and the occational Denver professional sports team.

I feel so honored and blessed to do what I do and work with the people I’ve worked with.  That’s especially true of weddings.  Being trusted to record one of the most important days in two people’s lives is humbling and rewarding.
